Dr Emmanuel Gyimah-Boadi is the executive director of the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), a think tank focusing on good governance in Africa, and a professor in the Department of Political Science of the University of Ghana – Legon. He is also the executive director the Afrobarometer survey research network, which tracks public opinion on political, economic and social developments in a number of African countries.
Dr Gyimah-Boadi’s extensive professional experience encompasses spells as a lecturer at Dartmouth College, the American University and the University of Swaziland, and as a consultant on Ghanaian and African democratization and economic reform with the World Bank, the UNDP, USAID, the African Development Bank and the Global Coalition for Africa.
Dr Gyimah-Boadi received his BA from the University of Ghana, and both his MA and PhD from the University of California.
