The Doing Business Report (DB) is a publication of the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation that benchmarks business regulation in 181 countries worldwide. Doing Business provides a quantitative measure of regulations for starting a business, dealing with construction permits, employing workers, registering property, getting credit, protecting investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts and closing a business—as they apply to domestic small and medium-size enterprises. Doing Business provides an objective basis for understanding and improving the regulatory environment for business.
