Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC)
The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) is an international body which monitors internal displacement caused by conflict and violence in some 50 countries worldwide. IDMC monitors internal displacement worldwide and maintains an online database on conflict and violence-related internal displacement. IDMC seeks and compiles data from national governments, UN and other international organisations, national and international NGOs, human rights organisations and the media. IDMC also carries out field missions to a number of countries every year.
