The Ibrahim Prize Ceremony

In November each year, the Foundation holds the prize ceremony to confer the Ibrahim Prize for Achievement in African Leadership.

The ceremony is a major celebration of African achievement and culture involving film, speeches and performances.

The ceremony features the participation of a number of eminent Africans, including Kofi Annan, and performances from some of Africa’s top musicians including Youssou N’Dour and Angelique Kidjo.

The event is attended by dignitaries from across Africa and the rest of the world.
