The launch of the Ibrahim Index - civil society events

To mark the launch of the 2008 Ibrahim Index, the Foundation held a consultation with representatives of civil society in Addis Ababa.

The event was attended by representatives from the diplomatic community, academics, business people and non-governmental organisations. The challenges of improving governance in Africa were discussed.

The Foundation also held a roundtable for academics from across the East African region to provide feedback and comments on the results and findings of the 2008 Ibrahim Index.
